Terms of Service

Last updated 19 October 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Temprl Business Private Limited ("Temprl Labs", "we", "us"). They cover Simo and everything around it. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. If you use Simo for an organisation, you agree on its behalf and confirm you're allowed to.

1. The service

"The service" means:

  • Simo, our judgment models, including Simo-1 Pro and Simo-1;
  • the Simo API at api.temprl.org;
  • the console at app.temprl.org;
  • the documentation at docs.temprl.org, the website at temprl.org, and the simoai SDK.

Features marked preview or coming soon (for example Simo-1) may change or be withdrawn, and are provided as they are.

2. Accounts

  • You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract.
  • Give accurate details and confirm your email address. One person or organisation per account: don't create extra accounts to collect free credit.
  • You're responsible for everything done with your account and API keys. Keep keys secret, use them only from your own servers, and revoke any key that may have leaked from the console.
  • Tell us at hello@temprl.org if you think your account has been used without permission.

3. Credits, pricing and payments

  • Prepaid balance. Simo is paid for from a prepaid balance in US dollars. Each request is charged as it completes, at the rates shown in the console under Billing. Requests that fail on our side, or that are rejected as invalid, aren't charged.
  • Price changes. We may change rates. We'll give at least 14 days' notice of an increase, in the console or by email. Rates apply to requests made after the change takes effect.
  • Welcome credit. New accounts get free credit (currently US$2) once their email is confirmed: one per person or organisation. Free and promotional credit has no cash value and can't be refunded or transferred. We may remove it if it's obtained by creating multiple accounts or other abuse.
  • Payments. Top-ups are processed by Dodo Payments, which acts as the merchant of record. Dodo collects payment, adds any sales tax, VAT or GST that applies, and issues your invoice. Its terms also apply to the payment. We never see your full card details.
  • Expiry. Credit doesn't expire while your account is open.
  • Refunds. If you haven't used any of a top-up, you can ask for a refund of it within 14 days of buying it: email hello@temprl.org. Otherwise purchased credit isn't refundable, except where the law requires a refund or where we close your account without cause (section 10).
  • Chargebacks. If a payment is reversed, we may deduct the credit it bought and suspend the account until it's settled.

4. Acceptable use

Don't use the service to:

  • break the law, or infringe anyone's rights;
  • harm, harass, defraud or discriminate against people;
  • process data you have no right to process;
  • probe, attack or get around the service's security, keys, billing or rate limits, or put unreasonable load on it;
  • copy, scrape or try to extract the models, their weights or their training, or resell raw access to the API as a competing model service;
  • make fully automated decisions with legal or similarly serious effects on people (credit, employment, housing, health, legal status) without meaningful human review.

We may suspend access that breaks these rules, and will tell you why unless the law or security prevents it.

5. Your data

  • Ownership. What you send to the API (states, questions, images, video) and what it returns ("your content") stays yours.
  • Not stored by default. We process your content only to answer your request. It isn't stored or used to train or improve our models, unless you turn on Data sharing in the console's Settings.
  • If you opt in. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to keep requests sent while it's on, and to use them to improve Simo. Accounts that share data may be offered discounted pricing. You can turn it off at any time, and ask us to delete what you shared.
  • Your responsibility. You must have the right to send your content to us, including any notices or consents needed for personal data in it.

Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and why.

6. Simo's answers

  • Answers can be wrong. Simo's answers are probabilities and generated values. Calibration means a probability of 0.8 is right about 80% of the time across many decisions. It doesn't mean any single answer is correct.
  • Your decisions. You're responsible for how your software acts on answers. Use thresholds and human review that match what a mistake would cost.
  • Not advice. Answers aren't professional advice: legal, medical, financial or otherwise.

7. Our brand and intellectual property

  • What's ours. We, or our licensors, own the service, the models, the websites and their content. "Temprl Labs", "Simo", "Simo-1", "Simo-1 Pro", the Simo mark, the Simo character and the Temprl Labs logo are our trade marks.
  • What you may do. You may refer to Simo by name to describe your product truthfully, for example "built with Simo".
  • What needs permission. Ask us first before you:
    • use our logos or mascot;
    • suggest we endorse or partner with you;
    • use our names in your product's name, domain or social handles.
    Write to hello@temprl.org.
  • The SDK. The simoai SDK is open source under the Apache License 2.0, which governs the SDK code only.
  • Feedback. If you send ideas or feedback, we may use them without owing you anything.

8. Availability and changes

We work to keep the service fast and available, but we don't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, add or remove features, and change or retire models. Before we retire a model that's generally available, we'll give reasonable notice where we can.

9. Third-party services

The service relies on others, including:

  • Cloudflare for hosting and email;
  • Vercel for the website;
  • Dodo Payments for payments;
  • Google for sign-in.

Their own terms apply to your use of their parts, such as Google sign-in or the Dodo checkout.

10. Suspension and closing your account

  • Closing your account. You can close it at any time: email hello@temprl.org from the account's address.
  • If we suspend or close it. We may do this if you break these terms, if we must for legal reasons, or to protect the service or other users.
  • If we close it without cause. If we close your account without any of those reasons, we'll refund your unused purchased credit.
  • What continues. Sections 5 to 7 and 11 to 14 continue after an account closes.

11. Disclaimers

Except as these terms say otherwise, the service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

12. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows:

  • We aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill.
  • Our total liability for any claim about the service is limited to the greater of:
    • the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or
    • US$50.

Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law.

13. Indemnity

You'll defend and compensate us against third-party claims arising from:

  • your content;
  • your use of the service in breach of these terms or the law;
  • decisions your software made using Simo's answers.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Madurai, Tamil Nadu have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes about them. Where your country's consumer law gives you rights that can't be waived, those rights still apply.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll tell you at least 14 days before it applies, in the console or by email. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms. The date at the top shows the latest version.
